About WalkWithMi

I’ve had the opportunity to travel to different cities in different countries. Some of these trips were alone, some with friends, and some with my girlfriend. I used to travel without planning. In fact, during my solo trip to Berlin, I explored so little that I traveled to the same city again 3 months later and still explored without a plan. 5 years later, this time I traveled to Berlin with my girlfriend, and half of our trip was unplanned and half was planned. I realized that when we planned, we discovered more things and had more fun.

Right after that, we organized a planned trip to Amsterdam, and despite having previously explored Amsterdam without a plan, I realized that with planning, I learned much more.

I was responsible for planning our 1-week London trip, and I started the preparations. I watched dozens of YouTube videos, read articles, chatted with ChatGPT to create an itinerary. I created a travel plan note in Apple Notes and divided it by days. I noted places to visit and explore each day along with their hours. We made reservations one by one. This time I realized that we fully explored a city. There wasn’t a museum we didn’t visit or a place we didn’t discover. We learned about its history and culture by experiencing it firsthand. We ate, drank, and had fun at nice cafes and restaurants.

We didn’t have a guide on this trip, and while exploring, we kept asking each other, “Oh, what a beautiful building, I wonder what this place is?” We wished we had a virtual guide to tell us about the surrounding history and culture through storytelling, and that’s when the seed of the walkwithmi mobile application idea was planted.

We became even more excited about the idea of an application that would create a virtual guide for each of our trips, planning our journey and serving as our guide based on our location.
